The CINETIK™ technology and equipment are protected by over 10 international patents (4 granted, 6 patents pending). In April of 2009, GLV, Inc. acquired certain assets of Elcotech Technologies, Inc., a young company based in Boucherville, Quebec (Canada). The company has pursued intensive R&D activities since its inception and has demonstrated the scientific feasibility, operational and commercial viability of electrokinetic technologies applied to wastewater, wastewater sludge and liquid manure. These efforts will be pursued, to remain at the forefront of sludge dewatering technologies.
Elcotech’s pioneering efforts in sludge electro-dewatering, since 2001, have lead to its recognition as the instigator of successful, full-scale electro-dewatering for municipal and industrial wastewater sludge. After four generations of products, Elcotech’s bold move (from rotary) towards linear electro-dewatering, in 2006, resulted in the CINETIK™ Series and solved fundamental issues that plague rotary electro-dewatering units. This move enabled Elcotech to become the uncontested leader and the first and only to fully harness the potential of electro-dewatering through the optimization of salient process parameters using simple, but state-of-the-art, instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
Eimco Water Technologies CINETIK™ linear electro-dewatering technology has been challenged in various municipal, industrial and agricultural applications in North America and Asia, including slaughterhouse operations, textile plants, flat panel display manufacturers and pulp and paper producers. Our installed base of systems is rapidly growing, with several units sold in Quebec and Asia, and imminently in the US and Europe.
